The Kyabram Hospital originated in 1933 and moved to the current site in 1960. In 1995, a major development of the acute hospital commenced with Stage 1, being officially opened in October 1996. Stage 2 of the redevelopment project was completed in October 1999. We can now boast a modern healthcare facility that our Community can be truly proud of.
The Sheridan upgrade was officially opened by the Minister for Health The Hon. David Davis, and KDHS Life Governor Mr. Doug Crow on 19th Decemer 2012. This project has upgraded the 40 year old A. G. Hutchinson Wing and provides modern, comfortable single rooms for our frail aged.

Quality and Accreditation
Kyabram & District Health Services (KDHS) is committed to continually improving its quality of healthcare in all areas of care and management systems.
Opportunities for improvement are continually identified by client and staff surveys, changes to legislative requirements, best practice and review of systems and policies. Monitoring, evaluation and feedback processes provide the best outcomes for clients and staff.
Accreditation by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS) and the Aged Care Standards Agency is evidence of the success of the program with all staff working together to ensure the highest quality care.
In 2010 KDHS was awarded a further 4 years accreditation and in October 2012 ACHS conducted an interim audit.
Work has commenced to move to the 10 National Quality & Safety Standards.
Sheridan (Aged Care) was audited in August 2012 and achieved all 44 standards, receiving full Aged Care Accreditation.
