ABOUT NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is called the NDIS. The NDIS is a new way to help people under 65 years of age with a disability to get care supports. The NDIS is designed to help people with a disability achieve their goals
To become an NDIS participant a person must:
- Have a permanent disability that significantly affects their ability to take part in everyday activities
- Be aged less than 65 years when you first enter NDIS
- Be an Australian Citizen or hold a permanent visa or protected special category visa;and
- Live in Australia where the NDIS is available.
As of May 1st NDIS will be available within Loddon region which includes Campaspe Shire. As of June 1st NDIS will be available within NSW and will include the Murray Shire (ie. Moama)
Kyabram District Health Service is a registered NDIS provider within Victoria and NSW (Murray Shire) for the delivery of disability support services to participants eligible for the NDIS.
Kyabram District Health Service is registered to provide:
- Early Childhood Support - formerly known as Early Childhood Intervention Services
- Therapeutics Support
- Home Modifications
- Community Nursing Care
- Household Tasks
