Medical admissions


Kyabram Health has 30 beds in the acute care wing. 

This wing is known as the McMaster Smith Wing (or MSW) and is named after (one of the) McMaster Smiths who were instrumental in the 15 years of planning and lobbying for the new hospital that was opened in 1960.

General practitioners from the Kyabram Regional Clinic are credentialed to admit to and work at Kyabram Health.

Post Acute Care

Kyabram Health provides care services to people who need support to recover following their stay in a public hospital. The care is provided in the person's home or at another suitable place, for example a family member’s home.

For more information please contact 5857 0200 and ask for the Discharge department.

Palliative Care

A Palliative Care is provided in MSW.  Family members are encouraged to stay and a sofa bed, microwave, toaster etc. are available for your use.

Kyabram Health is known for our supportive hospital Palliative Care service.
