CARE CLOSE TO HOME
We offer Cancer Services, including regular medical oncology clinics, chemotherapy treatment and supportive cancer care, to people with cancer living in Kyabram and surrounding areas, in a friendly and relaxing environment.
The service embraces placing people at the centre of their care, and ensuring family and carers are welcome.
Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS), in partnership with Goulburn Valley Health, provides a Medical Oncology Clinic and Oncology Day Unit in Kyabram to meet local needs, and provide safe and accessible services.
MEDICAL ONCOLOGY CLINIC
A Medical Oncologist provides clinics at KDHS once a fortnight for newly referred patients, and to review patients receiving treatment.
A written referral from your general practitioner (GP), surgeon or oncology specialist is required to access this service. Your doctor should post or fax a referral to:
Peter Copulos Cancer and Wellness Centre
Graham Street, SHEPPARTON, VIC 3630
Fax: 03 5832 2658
You will be notified by mail of the receipt of your referral and offered an appointment.
ONCOLOGY DAY UNIT AND SUPPORTIVE TREATMENTS
We offer chemotherapy and supportive treatments in a purpose built four (4) chair day unit environment.
The Medical Oncologist, in consultation with a multidisciplinary care team, will determine patient suitability to receive chemotherapy services at KDHS, and patients receiving chemotherapy at KDHS remain under the care of the Medical Oncologist.
Supportive treatments such as blood transfusions are available at KDHS - discuss a referral with your doctor.
