Members of the Men’s Longest Lunch Committee visited Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) on Wednesday, 1 April to present a donation of $25,000, following the success of the 2026 annual Men’s Longest Lunch event.
This year’s contribution continues an outstanding 11-year tradition of community support, with the event now having raised more than $200,000 for KDHS.
The 2026 funds will be directed towards essential equipment and facility improvements, including:
• A macerator for Sheridan – a specialised medical waste disposal unit that safely breaks down and disposes of clinical waste, improving hygiene, infection control, and operational efficiency.
• Two Day Procedure Unit (DPU) chairs for the Theatre – specialised reclining chairs designed to support patients before and after procedures, enhancing comfort, safety, and recovery.
The Men’s Longest Lunch has become a cornerstone community event, not only bringing people together but also playing a vital role in raising awareness and support for men’s health, while delivering meaningful and lasting benefits for local healthcare services.
KDHS has expressed its sincere appreciation for the ongoing generosity and commitment of the committee and the wider community.
