Services

Our Physiotherapy department provides treatment and care to hospital inpatients, outpatients, Sheridan residents, clients involved with the Transitional Care Program and through Community Education Programs. We provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment to address problems with movement and physical function. This may be because of sudden and/or ongoing injury or illness.

Inpatient Services

A Physiotherapist may be involved in providing a variety of hospital inpatient treatments including:

  • Recovery post-surgery
  • General mobility and functional assessment post illness
  • Providing mobility equipment
  • Chest physiotherapy
  • Stroke rehabilitation
  • Post-natal treatment

Outpatient Services

Patients are commonly referred for treatment of conditions such as:

  • Rehabilitation following surgery
