What is Social Work & Counselling?

Social Workers & Counsellors aim to improve the mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities. This is done through therapeutic interventions, client advocacy, service innovation, social justice advocacy, community networking, and external referrals to relevant services.

What our Social Workers can assist with

  • Mental health interventions for high, medium, and low priority clients who are struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and other diagnosable conditions
  • Social issues for you and your family
  • Grief, loss, and bereavement support
  • Adjustment to chronic illness and disability
  • Elder abuse
  • Carer stress
