Carer Support & Respite

A supported break for unpaid carers.

Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) provides Respite Care on a planned basis.

This includes:

In-home: KDHS Support Worker will provide support for you in your home while your carer goes out.

Community: Usually takes place at KDHS Pat Hayes Centre, so that you can do things you enjoy.

Weekend: Takes place outside of regular business hours as negotiated.

We can provide support for carers of:

  • Frail older people

  • People with disability

Our service is confidential and respectful of your needs and circumstances.

Respite Care is provided in a way that suits you. Our skilled staff will work with you to understand and meet your individual needs.
