Disability Liaison Officer Program
What we do
Disability Liaison Officers advocate for people with a disability within the health system.
We aim to improve access to health care and Disability Support Services by working with Healthcare Teams to ensure safe, accessible and inclusive care for people with disability.
Disability Liaison Officer can help you to access:
Health Services
Plan for a stay in hospital for any reason
Provide education and promote disability awareness throughout the Health Service
Support with blood tests
Access to sensory equipment if required
Referrals
Anyone can make a referral to our service including yourself, your family and carers.
You need to agree to the referral.
You may be referred by your disability providers, support coordinators or health professionals.
